As a high schooler who loves computers and wants to become a programmer, I want to live in Santa Clara because it sits right in the middle of Silicon Valley where internships, tech meetups, and mentorship opportunities are everywhere. Having places like Micro Center nearby is amazing — I can pick up parts, test hardware, and learn by building my own projects without waiting for long shipping times. The local schools and coding clubs host hackathons and workshops that help me practice real skills and meet other students who code. Being close to big tech companies also makes it easier to attend talks, find summer programs, and see how professional software development works. Overall, Santa Clara gives me the tools, people, and environment I need to grow into a strong programmer while I'm still in high school.
