I want to live in Santa Clara because it sits in the middle of Silicon Valley, and being surrounded by tech companies and startups would constantly inspire me as a high schooler who loves computers. Living there would make it easier to find internships, attend meetups and hackathons, and connect with mentors who can help me improve my programming skills. I’m excited about hands-on projects, and having a Micro Center nearby would be perfect for buying parts, testing hardware, and learning more about building PCs or electronics prototypes. The tech culture and resources would motivate me to keep learning, practice real-world coding, and prepare for a future as a programmer.
Drawbacks:
- High cost of living and housing — rent and everyday expenses in Santa Clara are much higher than in many other places.
- Traffic and congestion — commuting and popular areas can get very crowded, which can be stressful and time-consuming.
