Three simple rephrases
- The tram speeds along the tracks; no cars block its path.
- A tram races on the rails with the road clear of cars.
- The tram moves quickly on the tracks, and there aren't any cars in the way.
How I changed it (step-by-step):
- Changed the verb 'runs' to other strong verbs: 'speeds', 'races', or 'moves quickly' so it sounds lively.
- Swapped 'rails' for 'tracks' in one version because they mean the same and sometimes sound nicer.
- Reworded 'No cars are in the way' to give different rhythms: 'no cars block its path', 'the road clear of cars', or 'there aren't any cars in the way'.
Tip: Read each one out loud and pick the one that sounds the most fun to you.
