Learn about the different people who help sick individuals feel better! A fun and easy way for young children to understand health care.
When someone is not feeling well or is sick, there are many special helpers who come to make them feel better! Here are the main helpers:
Doctors are people who know a lot about how our bodies work. They help find out why someone is sick and give them medicine to help them feel better.
Nurses are friendly helpers who take care of patients in hospitals. They help the doctors and make sure everyone is comfortable. They can give medicine too!
Sometimes, our family members, like mom, dad, or grandparents, also help us when we’re sick. They can give us hugs, make us soup, and help us rest.
Pharmacists work in a drugstore. They give out the medicine that doctors prescribe and explain how to take it correctly.
Some people help kids and adults who might be feeling sad or worried. These helpers are called therapists. They listen and help us feel better inside our hearts.
So whenever someone is sick, there are many wonderful people who jump in to help! Isn’t that great?
