What is an Excavator?

An excavator is a big machine that helps us dig in the dirt!

Imagine you have a big toy shovel, but much larger! Excavators are super strong and can lift heavy things.

How Does It Work?

Excavators have a long arm with a scoop at the end. This scoop can dig into the ground, just like when you dig a hole in the sand at the beach!

When the excavator's operator wants to dig, they move the arm down and scoop up dirt. Then, they can lift it up and move it somewhere else.

Where Do We See Excavators?

We usually see excavators at construction sites. They help build roads, houses, and even playgrounds!

Fun Fact!

Excavators can also help with other jobs, like removing snow or even lifting large rocks. They are very helpful and make work easier.

So, next time you see a big machine digging, you can say, 'Look! That’s an excavator!' and know it’s doing a big job!
