A bison has very thick, fluffy fur. Here is how it works:
- The fur is packed close together and has lots of tiny hairs.
- When it rains or snows, the water sits on the outside and can’t get through the hairs.
- That keeps the bison dry and warm — like a big warm blanket or an umbrella.
