Astronauts wear special space suits that are like tiny homes: they give air to breathe, keep them warm, and protect them from space. In space there's almost no gravity, so astronauts float around like balloons.

To become an astronaut you practice a lot. Here are the main things you do:

  • Exercise to get strong and healthy.
  • Learn science and how machines work.
  • Practice being brave and calm when things are new or surprising.
  • Work with a team and follow instructions.

Imagine you are an astronaut: pretend to float, practice slow movements, and keep learning—those are great first steps!
