Excavators are big machines that help us dig in the ground. They move in a special way, and I will tell you how!
First, an excavator has strong legs called tracks, just like a big caterpillar. These tracks help the excavator walk on the ground without falling over.
Next, it has a long arm that reaches out. The arm can go up and down, just like when you lift your arms to say hello!
At the end of the arm, there is a big bucket. This bucket can scoop up dirt and rocks, kind of like when you use a spoon to pick up your food.
When the machine’s driver wants it to move, they press some buttons or use a leaver inside the cabin. This tells the excavator's tracks to go forward, backward, or turn around!
So, when you see an excavator, remember it walks on its tracks, has an arm that can lift, and a bucket that can dig! Isn’t that cool?
