Match the Picture — Fun Game for 6-year-olds

Hi! Let's play a matching game. Look at the pictures on the left and find the same picture on the right. Draw a line or write the letter that matches each number.

How to play (easy steps)

  1. Look carefully at a picture on the left.
  2. Find the same picture on the right. It may be in a different place.
  3. Draw a line from the left picture to the matching picture on the right — or write the letter of the match next to the number.
  4. Check your answers with the answer key at the bottom when you finish.

Practice — Match the pictures

Left column:

  1. 🐶
  2. 🐱
  3. 🍎
  4. 🚗
  5. 🌼

Right column (choices):

  • A 🚗
  • B 🍎
  • C 🌼
  • D 🐱
  • E ⚽
  • F 🐶

Write your answers like this: 1 - F, 2 - D, etc.

Answer Key

1 - F (🐶 = 🐶)
2 - D (🐱 = 🐱)
3 - B (🍎 = 🍎)
4 - A (🚗 = 🚗)
5 - E (⚽ = ⚽)
6 - C (🌼 = 🌼)

Tips for parents or teachers

  • Say the item names out loud with the child ("dog", "cat", "apple").
  • Encourage the child to trace lines slowly so they don't cross other matches.
  • If the child finds it hard, start with just 3 items and add more when they're ready.
  • Make it playful: use stickers, crayons, or small toys to represent the pictures.

Great job! Give a high five when you're done. 🎉
