When Do Airplanes Use Wheels?

Hi there, little friend! Have you ever seen an airplane while playing outside? Airplanes are big, mighty machines that can fly high in the sky! But did you know that they have wheels, just like your toys and bikes?

Taking Off with Wheels!

When an airplane is ready to fly, it starts on the ground. The wheels help it move really fast on a special road called a runway. The wheels go spin, spin, spin as the airplane goes faster and faster.

Flying High!

Once the airplane is going super fast, it lifts off the ground and flies high into the sky! When it’s flying, the wheels don’t touch the ground. They are resting until it’s time to come back down.

Time to Land!

When airplanes get ready to come back home, they start to come down. They need their wheels again! The wheels come out and touch the ground as the airplane lands softly on the runway. This helps the airplane stop safely!

The End of the Trip!

When the airplane stops, the wheels are still on the ground until it’s time again to fly. So, airplanes use wheels mostly when they are on the ground to take off and land, making sure everyone stays safe.

And that’s how and when airplanes use wheels! Isn’t that fun?
