Airplanes are big machines that fly in the sky. But they also need to use wheels when they are on the ground. Here’s how it works:

  1. Takeoff: When the airplane is ready to fly, it has its wheels on the ground and rolls really fast. Then, it goes up, up, into the sky!
  2. Flying: In the sky, the airplane does not use its wheels. It just flies with its wings.
  3. Landing: When the airplane comes back down, it needs its wheels again. The wheels touch the ground to help it stop safely.
  4. Taxiing: After landing, the airplane rolls on the runway with its wheels until it reaches the gate where people can get off.

So remember, airplanes use their wheels when they are on the ground to help them go fast, land safely, and move around!
