A train driver is a special person who drives a train. Just like how a car has a driver, a train needs someone to control it too! The train driver sits in a special place at the front of the train called the cab.
There are some important things the train driver does:
- Starting the Train: They push buttons and pull levers to start the train moving.
- Speed Control: The driver chooses how fast the train will go. They need to be careful because too fast can be dangerous!
- Stopping the Train: When the train needs to stop at a station or for safety, the driver pulls a lever to slow down and stop the train.
- Looking Out: The train driver always looks ahead to make sure the tracks are clear and there are no obstacles.
So, the next time you see a train, remember that a train driver is working hard to make sure everyone gets to where they need to go safely!
