Who Drives a Train?
The person who drives a train is called a train conductor. They are very important because they control the train and make sure it goes to the right places.
Imagine a really big, fast car with lots of seats! The conductor sits in the front of the train in a special place called the engine. Here are some of the things the train conductor does:
- Starts and stops the train: The conductor has to push buttons and pull levers to make the train go and to stop it safely.
- Follows signals: Just like when you play a game and have to follow rules, the conductor follows signals that tell them when to go fast, slow down, or stop for other trains.
- Helps passengers: The conductor also makes sure everyone is safe and helps if anyone has questions or needs assistance while riding the train.
So, just like how a captain drives a ship or a pilot flies an airplane, the train conductor drives the train! Isn’t that cool?
