What Are Firefighters?

Firefighters are special heroes who help keep us safe from fire. They wear bright, shiny helmets and big coats that can protect them from heat.

What Do They Do?

When there's a fire, firefighters come quickly in their big red trucks with flashing lights and loud sirens. They spray water on the fire to put it out and help anyone who might be in danger.

How Do They Stay Safe?

Firefighters train very hard so they know how to be safe when fighting fires. They learn how to wear special breathing masks so they don't breathe in smoke. They also practice what to do in different situations to keep themselves and others safe.

Why Are Firefighters Important?

Firefighters are super important because they help save lives and protect our homes. Without them, fires could be very dangerous and cause a lot of damage.

How Can We Thank Firefighters?

We can say thank you to firefighters by drawing pictures, making thank-you cards, or even visiting the fire station if we can! It's nice to show them we appreciate their hard work!
