Three ways to say it:
- When your nose is stuffed, the tiny tube that joins your nose to your ear can get blocked, so sounds can seem quieter.
- A clogged nose can make your ears feel full and make it harder to hear clearly.
- If your nose is all stuffed up, the path to your ear doesn’t work right and noises can sound muffled.
Why this happens (easy steps):
- Your nose and middle ear are connected by a small tube.
- If your nose is swollen or full of snot, that tube can close or get filled.
- When the tube is closed, the ear can’t balance pressure, so sounds seem dull or far away.
Tip: Gently blowing your nose, yawning, or swallowing can help open the tube. If your ear hurts or you can’t hear for a long time, tell a grown-up.
