Rainbow!

Look up at the sky. Rain + sun = rainbow. A rainbow is a big smile of colors in the sky.

Colors: red 🔴, orange 🟠, yellow 🟡, green 🟢, blue 🔵, purple 🟣.

Easy steps to find a rainbow

1. Find a grown-up and hold hands.
2. Wait for rain to stop and the sun to come back.
3. Look at the sky together. Point to the colors you see.
4. Say the color names and clap for each one!

Fun things to do

• Make a paper rainbow: draw big arcs and color them with crayons. Use the same colors above.
• Point-and-touch game: point to a toy or shirt and say its color. "Red!" "Blue!"
• Tiny rainbow trick (only with a grown-up): in sunlight, an adult sprays a fine mist of water. Look for a little rainbow in the mist.
