What this is (short explanation for a 13-year-old)

AGLC4 is a style used to write bibliographies. A bibliography lists the books, articles and websites you used, in alphabetical order by the author’s surname. You asked that each author be shown with their first name first (for example: "Rachel Carson", not "Carson, Rachel"). Below I show step-by-step how I formatted each entry and then give the full bibliography.

How I formatted entries (steps)

  1. Author names shown with first names first (as you requested).
  2. Alphabetised the whole list by the first author/editor’s surname.
  3. For books I used: Author, Title (Publisher, Year).
  4. For edited books I used: Editor (ed), Title (Publisher, Year).
  5. For translations I noted the translator when you supplied that information.
  6. For web pages and online videos I added the URL and an access date (31 October 2025).
  7. If a publisher or year was not given in your list I noted the bibliographic details that you supplied; where nothing was given I used “n.p., n.d.” (no place, no date).

Note: I used the bibliographic details you provided. Where a publisher or year was missing I left the supplied information and used "n.p., n.d." if neither place nor date were given. If you want, I can:

  • check and add missing publisher names and years;
  • convert the list into strict AGLC4 style with surnames first (if you later need that format for submission); or
  • export this bibliography as a Word or BibTeX file.

Which of those would you like me to do next?
