Hi! First I want to check one thing: do you mean a moss block (the green block) or moss carpet (thin green top)? Tell me if you mean something that sits flat on the ground or something that hangs down.

Here are simple ways to get moss blocks and make a flat vertical moss wall in Survival (Bedrock):

  1. Where moss comes from:
    • Moss blocks naturally appear in lush caves and on azalea trees above them.
  2. If you want moss but don't want to go into a lush cave:
    • Look for azalea trees on the surface. They often mean a lush cave is below—dig down carefully and you may find moss.
    • Sometimes wandering traders bring rare blocks. If you meet one, check its trades (it might offer things you can trade for).
    • If you play with friends or on a server, you can ask another player to give you moss blocks.
    • There is no normal crafting recipe to make moss blocks in survival, so you have to find, trade, or get it from someone.
  3. How to pick up moss blocks:
    • When you break a moss block it drops as an item you can pick up. You can use any tool or your hand.
  4. Make a flat vertical moss wall:
    1. Place moss blocks in a column on your wall to make a green vertical surface.
    2. If you want a thinner green look, put moss carpet on top of stairs or slabs that face out from the wall (carpet cannot be placed on a vertical surface by itself).
    3. Use bone meal on moss blocks to grow little plants (like azalea) to decorate the wall if you want more detail.

Quick tips:

  • If you actually meant vines or cave vines (they hang down), use shears to collect and place them to make hanging green walls.
  • If you want, tell me which exact green thing you saw in the game (moss block, moss carpet, vines, or cave vines) and I will give exact steps just for that.
