Living close to nature

In the countryside, houses are near fields, trees, animals, and rivers. "Living closer to nature" means people spend more time with plants, animals, and fresh air.

  1. Step 1: What you can see

You might see cows, sheep, chickens, big trees, flowers, and lots of open fields instead of tall buildings and many cars.

  2. Step 2: What you can hear

It is quieter. You can hear birds singing, wind in the trees, and maybe a farm animal. At night you can see lots of stars.

  3. Step 3: What people do

People grow vegetables and fruits, take care of animals, and go for walks in nature. Children play outside in big yards and fields.

  4. Step 4: Why it is nice

The air often smells fresh, there is more space to run, and you can learn about plants and animals up close.

Fun little activity: Go outside with an adult. Close your eyes for 10 seconds and listen. Can you hear three sounds? Maybe a bird, wind, or a far-away animal. Open your eyes and tell someone what you heard.

Safety tips: Always stay with an adult near animals, roads, or water like ponds. Wash your hands after touching animals or soil.

What is your favorite thing you would like to see in the countryside?
