Course Plan Outline (Speak softly only to mistakes — be relentless with practice)

This accelerated two-semester plan (Age 15) compresses Prealgebra 1 & 2 and Introduction to Geometry into a focused, mastery-driven sequence. Expect daily practice, Alcumus adaptive drills, and video lessons aligned to the textbook. No shortcuts.

  • Semester 1 — Foundations & Algebra (Weeks/Days): arithmetic rules; squares & exponent laws; zero & negative exponents; divisibility, primes & factorization; LCM & GCD; fractions (2 days); linear equations; advanced equations & word problems; inequalities; decimals; ratios, proportions, conversions, speed & rates. Daily problem set + Alcumus target practice.
  • Semester 2 — Advanced Prealgebra, Geometry & Discrete Math: percents & percent change; square roots; arithmetic with roots; angles, parallel lines, polygons; perimeter & area; triangles, circles; Pythagorean theorem & special triangles; quadrilaterals; basic statistics & graphs; counting & probability; problem-solving strategies. Weekly geometry problem sets with solutions review.
  • Geometry Module (Concurrent/Following): similar & congruent triangles; quadrilaterals; polygons; circle geometry; power of a point; 3D geometry; transformations; intro analytic geometry & trig; two 2-week problem marathons from Rusczyk’s texts.

Assessment & Mapping: weekly Alcumus diagnostics, biweekly timed quizzes, end-of-term cumulative exam. Mapped to ACARA v9 strands: Number & Algebra; Measurement & Geometry; Statistics & Probability and to proficiencies: understanding, fluency, problem-solving, reasoning. If you want results, follow this plan, do the problems, and do them again until flawless.
