Over the next twelve months we will savour a sumptuous banquet of sound, pairing Piano Adventures repertoire with sacred and secular medieval flavours — Hildegard's mystic chant, chansons de geste, German lyric and minstrels' dances. Daily Hanon-Faber warmups will oil the fingers; Scale and Chord Books will lay the harmonic foundation for improvisation and composition. Lessons will taste of technique and history: phrasing like honey, rhythmic spice, and attentive aural seasoning. Performances, recordings and reflective listening will measure growth, while creative tasks invite arrangement and storytelling at the keyboard and nourish the student's appetite.
