Okay, little buddy! Imagine you have a toy airplane. When you want it to go up, you might lift it with your hand, right? Well, a real pilot uses something called a control wheel instead!
This control wheel is like the steering wheel in a car. When the pilot turns the wheel left or right, the airplane goes in those directions, just like your toy can turn when you guide it!
To make the plane go up or down, the pilot pushes the wheel forward or pulls it back. If the pilot pulls it back, the airplane flies up high in the sky! If the pilot pushes it forward, the airplane comes down to the ground.
