A train is like a big machine that helps people and things move from one place to another. It has a strong part called an engine, which pulls behind it lots of little rooms, called carriages or cars.

The train has shiny metal wheels that help it go really fast on special tracks called rails. Think of rails like a slide for the train, so it can zoom along smoothly!

Some trains, called passenger trains, take people to different places, like the park or to visit friends. Other trains, called freight trains, carry important things, like food to eat or fun toys to play with.

So, when you see a train, you can remember it has an engine in front and carriages behind, rolling on its metal wheels!
