Here are five easy ways to say the same thing so a 7‑year‑old can understand:

  1. Count to ten out loud with your teacher, then look at your friends' pictures and say what feelings you see.
  2. Say the numbers 1 through 10 together with your teacher, and then point to faces in classmates' photos and name their emotions.
  3. Practice counting from one to ten with your teacher, and afterward study photos of your friends to guess if they are happy, sad, or surprised.
