We mapped trade routes reviving long-distance exchange, watched textiles, ceramics and new crops travel far, and marvelled as compass, printing and gunpowder left China for the world. Religions marched too: Islam’s rapid spread, Buddhism’s journey to East Asia, Christianity’s eastern and western branches anchoring cultures. Skills sharpened: constructing historical narratives, evaluating sources, placing events in chronological sequence, and communicating evidence-based conclusions.
