Hello! Let’s learn about Zombies and Drowned in Minecraft Bedrock (fun and easy)
I know you like turtles 🐢 and eggs 🥚 — cool! I’ll explain what zombies and drowned do, how to try them in Creative mode, and simple ways to keep turtle eggs safe.
1) What is a Zombie?
- Zombies are walking bad guys that try to reach and hit players and villagers.
- There are baby zombies (very fast), zombie villagers, and regular adult zombies.
- Zombies sometimes hold or pick up items and they drop things like rotten flesh, and sometimes carrots or potatoes.
2) What is a Drowned?
- Drowned are underwater zombies that live in oceans, rivers, and water.
- They can swim and will attack you in the water. Sometimes they have a trident (a spear) and can throw it.
- Drowned can also come from regular zombies that have been underwater too long — the zombie “drowns” and becomes a drowned.
3) Try them in Creative mode (easy steps)
- Open your Creative world and fly up so you can see everything.
- Open your inventory → go to the Spawn Eggs tab (it looks like an egg) and find the Zombie Egg and the Drowned Egg.
- Click the ground or water to place them. Zombies appear on land, drowned appear in water.
- In Creative, mobs can’t hurt you, so you can get close and watch how they move — fun for learning!
4) What cool stuff can they drop?
- Zombies: rotten flesh (always), sometimes carrots or potatoes.
- Drowned: sometimes they carry a trident and can drop it (it’s rare), and they also drop rotten flesh or other items.
5) How to protect turtle eggs (simple and safe)
Turtle eggs must stay on sand to hatch into baby turtles. Here are easy ways to keep mobs like zombies and drowned away from eggs:
- Make a fence or wall around the sand where eggs are. Mobs can’t get over walls without a path.
- Put glass blocks around the sand so you can still see the eggs but mobs can’t touch them.
- Light up the area with torches so no other hostile mobs spawn nearby.
- Keep the eggs inside a little box with sand and a small door so you can check on them safely.
6) Fun experiments to try (kid-friendly)
- Spawn a drowned in water and a zombie on land — watch the differences: swimming vs walking.
- Give yourself a trident from Creative inventory and throw it (practice while flying!).
- Try to breed turtles: feed two adult turtles some seagrass (pick seagrass from underwater). They will love and one may lay eggs on sand.
- Build a safe hatchery: make a fenced sand area, put turtle eggs there, and watch them hatch at night (it takes time).
7) Quick tips
- If you don’t want any bad mobs, set the game to Peaceful or just play in Creative—no damage and no hostile spawns.
- To make a drowned in Survival: lure a zombie into water and let it stay there until it changes into a drowned.
- To get a trident in Survival, you usually have to fight a drowned that has a trident (it’s rare), or use Creative to get one instantly.
