What is Slavery?

Okay, little one! Let me tell you about something very sad that happened a long time ago. Imagine if some people were taken away and made to work very hard without being able to say no or go home. That’s what slavery is. It means that some people didn’t have the freedom to make their own choices.

These people had to do what they were told, even if they didn’t want to. It’s like if someone took your toys away and made you do chores without letting you play. It wasn’t nice at all.

But many brave people worked together to help those who were taken, and they fought to give everyone their freedom back, so everyone can choose what to do and be happy.
