  2. Text-centred claim & evidence (5 marks)
    Find and copy two short phrases from Clauses 21 and 65 that show how the ruler expects stewards to manage fishponds. Then write a 1–2 sentence claim about what those phrases show about the ruler's priorities. Under your claim, give one short piece of supporting evidence (quote and clause number).

  3. Analysis — how the clauses work together (4 marks)
    In 2–3 short sentences, explain how Clauses 21, 62 and 65 work together to make sure fishponds are created, used and recorded. Focus on the process (who does what, when, and why).

    Scenario: The steward notices fish numbers are low and the king will visit the estate in one month. Using Clauses 21 and 65 and the requirement in Clause 62 to list income, write the three actions the steward should take in the correct order (short phrase per line). Then write 1–2 short sentences explaining why this order follows the clauses.
