This year’s plant-care apprenticeship focused on semi-hydroponic systems using LECA, methodical propagation of snake plants, and rapid-cycle sprouting and microgreen projects that turned kitchen work into lab-style experiments. Through journals tracking root development, pH, nutrient balance, watering rhythms, and micro‑environment adjustments, she developed observational rigor, measurement habits, and the patience of living systems, with harvests serving as both data and delight. Those hands-on practices strengthened ecological literacy and stewardship while sharpening empirical thinking and practical biology skills useful for veterinary or ecological pathways.
