Here are 4 easy ways to say the same idea so a 6-year-old can understand:
- Giraffes are mostly quiet because their necks are very long.
- A giraffe doesn’t make much noise because it has a long neck.
- Because its neck is so long, a giraffe is usually calm and quiet.
- Giraffes stay quiet most of the time since they have long necks.
How I made these changes (simple steps):
- Find the main idea: giraffes are usually quiet and the reason is their long neck.
- Keep the same meaning but change some words (for example, "usually" → "mostly" or "most of the time").
- Use words you already know (like "quiet" or "calm") so the sentence stays simple.
- Make sure the sentence still sounds right and easy to say.
