How to Make a Simple Banjo

Hi there! Today, we’re going to learn how to make a fun and simple banjo. A banjo is a musical instrument that sounds really cool! Let’s follow these easy steps together.

1. Gather Your Materials: You will need a plastic or paper plate, a sturdy stick (like a wooden dowel or a pencil), some rubber bands, and scissors (with an adult's help!).
2. Make the Banjo Body: Take your plate. This will be the body of your banjo. If you want, you can decorate the plate with colors or stickers!
3. Attach the Neck: Stick one end of your stick through the middle of the plate. This is the neck of your banjo. Make sure it's stable and can stand up straight!
4. Make the Strings: Now, wrap rubber bands around the stick (neck) to create the strings. You can use 4 or 5 rubber bands. They should be tight enough to stay in place but not too tight that they break.
5. Test Your Banjo: Gently pluck the rubber bands with your fingers. That’s how you play! You can make different sounds by pressing down on the rubber bands.
