Who Made a Rainbow?

Hey there! Have you ever seen a rainbow in the sky after it rains? They are so colorful and look like magic! But guess what? Rainbows are made by nature, and they have a fun science story behind them!

Step 1: The Rain
First, rain needs to happen. When the sun comes out after a rainstorm, it shines on all those water droplets in the air. It's like the sun saying, 'Hello!' to the raindrops.

Step 2: Light and Water
The sunlight is special because it has all the colors mixed together. When sunlight hits the raindrops, something magical occurs. The light bends a little bit (this is called refraction) and then it breaks into all those pretty colors!

Step 3: The Colors
These colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. They make a beautiful curve in the sky that we call a rainbow!

So, Who Made It?
Now, while no one person made the rainbow, you can think of it as a team effort between the rain, sunlight, and the air. They all work together to create this beautiful sight! You can think of nature as the artist painting the rainbow in the sky.

Next time you see a rainbow, remember the special teamwork involved in making something so pretty!
