What is Russia?

Hey, Oliver! Let’s learn about Russia. Russia is a very big country that is located in both Europe and Asia. If you look at a map, you'll see that it is the largest country in the world! It stretches all the way from Europe on one side to Asia on the other side.

Where is Russia?

Russia has many different landscapes. There are mountains, forests, and even big rivers! One famous river is called the Volga River. It’s one of the longest rivers in the world! In the far east, there's a place with pretty tall mountains called the Ural Mountains, which actually separates Europe from Asia.

What is the weather like?

The weather in Russia can be very cold, especially in winter. Some places in Russia can get covered in lots of snow! But in summer, it can be warm too. Different parts of Russia can have different kinds of weather.

What about the people and culture?

Many people live in Russia, and they speak a language called Russian. The people have their own special foods, music, and traditions. One popular food is called 'borscht,' which is a type of beet soup. Yum!
