Sometimes, some kids have a brain called an 'autistic brain.' This means their brain works a little differently. Just like some kids are really good at running fast, others might be really good at thinking about things in a special way.
How Does the Autistic Brain Work?
1. Different Thinking: When kids have an autistic brain, they might notice things that other kids don’t. They might love to look at patterns or feel different textures really strongly.
2. Feeling Overwhelm: Sometimes, their brains can become overwhelmed with too much noise or too many people. It’s like when a toy makes too much noise, and it hurts our ears.
3. Special Interests: Many kids with autistic brains have things they really, really love, like dinosaurs or trains. This makes them super smart about those things!
4. Different Ways to Communicate: Some kids might talk in a different way or prefer to use pictures to show what they want. Just like how we can use signs to say hello!
