Playing the harmonica is fun and easy! Here’s how to start, step by step.
What You Need
- A harmonica, just like a little magic wand that plays music!
Step 1: Hold the Harmonica
First, take your harmonica and hold it with both hands. Put it close to your mouth, just like you’re getting ready to drink from a little cup.
Step 2: Blow and Draw
We’re going to make music by blowing and drawing air. When you blow into the harmonica, it makes a sound. Can you try blowing? Good job! Now, when you breathe in (or draw!), it makes another sound. Let’s try that!
Step 3: Try Different Holes
The harmonica has different holes, just like a slide at the playground! Each hole makes a different sound. You can blow and draw on different holes and see how many sounds you can make!
Step 4: Make a Simple Tune
Now we can try to make some music! You can blow in the first hole, then the second hole, and then back to the first hole. Go like this:
1st hole (blow) -> 2nd hole (blow) -> 1st hole (blow)
That sounds like a song!
