Writing a Postcard!

Hi, Troy! Writing a postcard is a fun way to share something special with someone you care about. Let's go step by step on how to do it!

  1. Find a Postcard! First, you need to pick a postcard. It can have a picture of a place, an animal, or anything you like!
  2. Start with a Greeting! At the top of the postcard, write 'Hi!' or 'Hello!' and the name of the person you are sending it to. For example, you can write 'Hi, Grandma!'
  3. Write a Message! Below the greeting, it's time to write your message. You can tell them what you are doing or share something fun. For example, 'I went to the zoo and saw a big elephant!'
  4. Sign Your Name! When you finish your message, sign your name at the end! You can just write 'From Troy' or 'Love, Troy.'
  5. Address the Postcard! On the right side of the back, write the address of the person you’re sending it to. Make sure to include their name, street address, city, and zip code. This helps mail carriers know where to deliver it!
  6. Add a Stamp! Don’t forget a stamp! You can ask an adult to help you find a stamp and put it in the corner on the right side.
  7. Send it Away! Now, find a mailbox that is big enough to fit your postcard, drop it in, and wait for your message to reach its destination!

And that’s it! You have written a postcard! It's a great way to let someone know you are thinking about them. Happy postcard writing!
