Learn about how babies are made in a simple and easy-to-understand way for kids. Perfect for curious young minds!
Babies are made when a special kind of cell from a man, called a sperm, joins with a special kind of cell from a woman, called an egg. This usually happens when a man and a woman decide they want to have a baby and they are together. When the sperm and egg join, they create a tiny baby that begins to grow inside the woman's belly. This growing baby is called a fetus.
The fetus gets all its food and oxygen from the woman through a special organ called the placenta. After about nine months of growing, the baby is ready to be born! The woman goes to a hospital or a safe place to help the baby come out safely.
It's important to know that making a baby is a big responsibility and usually happens when people love each other and decide they want to start a family!
