Hey Rylee! Let's Learn About Multiplying 9s!

Multiplying is like adding lots of the same number together. So when we multiply 9s, we're adding 9 again and again.

For example, if we say 9 x 1, it's like saying we have 1 group of 9. So we just have 9!

If we say 9 x 2, it's like having 2 groups of 9. That makes 9 + 9, which is 18!

Now let's try 9 x 3! That's like having 3 groups of 9. We can add it up like this: 9 + 9 + 9 = 27!

Can you see the pattern? Every time we go up in the number we're multiplying by, we add another 9. So it goes like this:

  • 9 x 1 = 9
  • 9 x 2 = 18
  • 9 x 3 = 27
  • 9 x 4 = 36
  • 9 x 5 = 45
  • 9 x 6 = 54
  • 9 x 7 = 63
  • 9 x 8 = 72
  • 9 x 9 = 81
  • 9 x 10 = 90

Look! Each answer gets bigger. The more we multiply, the higher the numbers go! Isn't that fun? Just remember, it’s all about adding 9 lots of times!
