What Are Paramedics?

Paramedics are special helpers who drive big, emergency cars called ambulances. When someone is hurt or very sick, paramedics come to help them. They wear cool uniforms and sometimes lights blink on their cars, which means they are going really fast to get to someone who needs help.

When paramedics get there, they check how the person feels. They can help with little things like putting a band-aid on a cut or big things like giving medicine to help someone breathe. Paramedics are trained to keep people safe until they can go to a hospital, where doctors can take care of them even more!

So, think of paramedics as superheroes who arrive quickly to help people feel better!
