What is a Train Driver's Job?
A train driver is a person who drives a big, fun train! Just like how we drive a car, they drive a train to help it go fast or slow.
Here’s how it works:
- Getting Ready: First, the train driver gets into the train and makes sure everything is ready, just like when you check your bike before riding it.
- Starting the Train: Then, they push some buttons and pull some levers to start the train moving, just like starting a toy car.
- Looking Ahead: While driving, the train driver looks out the front window to see where the train is going. They watch for signals, like green lights that say ‘go!’ and red lights that say ‘stop!’
- Helping Passengers: The train driver helps people travel from one city to another. It’s like giving your toys a ride to a fun place!
- Stopping Safely: When the train gets to a station, the driver slows down and stops carefully, just like when you stop your bike at the end of the road.
So, being a train driver means driving a big train, making sure everyone is safe, and taking them on exciting journeys!
