What is a Heart Monitor?

A heart monitor is like a special machine that helps doctors know how fast or slow your heart is beating. It listens to your heart, just like we listen to music with headphones!

Why Do We Use Heart Monitors?

Sometimes, when people go to the doctor, they need to check their heart to make sure it is healthy and working properly. The heart monitor helps by showing a picture of the heartbeat on a screen, just like drawing a line when you color!

How Does It Work?

When the doctor puts sticky little stickers on your chest, the heart monitor can hear your heart. It then sends the sounds to the machine which shows if your heart is fast, slow, or just right, just like how you run fast or walk slowly!

Why is it Important?

The heart is a very important part of our body because it pumps blood to keep us healthy and full of energy. By using a heart monitor, doctors can find out how well your heart is doing and make sure you're feeling good!
