Okay, little buddy! So, a long time ago, there was a really kind and special man named Jesus. He did many good things, like helping sick people and teaching everyone to be nice to each other.
But some people were not happy with what he was teaching. They didn’t like that he was super nice and talked about God in a way that made them feel uncomfortable. So, they decided they wanted to hurt him, and they made a plan.
In the end, those people decided to put him on a big wooden cross, which was a very sad thing. It made everyone very sad because he had done nothing wrong! Jesus did this because he loved everyone very much and wanted to help all people by taking away their mistakes, which we call sins.
Even though it was very sad, the story doesn't end there! Jesus came back to life after a few days, showing everyone that love is stronger than anything else. People celebrate this with a special day called Easter. So, in simple words, Jesus died because he loved us and wanted to help us be better people!
