Let's Explore Habitats and Animals!
Hi Lidziya! Today, we are going to talk about different places where animals live. We call these places 'habitats'. There are many kinds of habitats, and each one is special for the animals that live there.
1. Forest
In the forest, it is usually very green with lots of trees. Here lives the bear. Bears like to roam around in the woods and look for food like berries and fish!
2. Desert
Next, there is the hot desert. In the desert, it is very dry and can be very hot. The camel lives here. Camels can walk a long way without drinking water, and they have a hump on their back!
3. Ice and Snow
In the cold places, we have habitats made of ice and snow. This is where the penguin lives. Penguins are very good swimmers and they slide on their bellies on the ice!
4. Jungle
The jungle is a very leafy and colorful place. Many animals live here, like the toucan, which has a big, bright beak. It loves to eat fruits!
5. Lake
A lake is a big, calm water place. Many animals, like the lizard, like to live near lakes. Lizards can be green and blend in with the leaves!
6. Mountain
On the mountains, we can find animals like the deer. Deer like to climb and jump around in the rocky areas!
7. Ocean
In the big ocean, there are many creatures. The powerful shark swims in the water, and it is very fast! Also, we find friendly fish and dolphins here too!
8. Rain Forest
The rain forest is very wet and has lots of plants. You can find the beautiful owl, which is awake at night and loves to hoot in the dark!
9. Sea
The sea is similar to the ocean but is usually closer to land. Many birds and fish live here too. The mighty lion lives on land, but sometimes lions go near the water to drink!
10. Snake
Lastly, we can talk about the sneaky snake. Snakes can live in many habitats, even in the grass or trees!
