Stages of Building a House

  1. Planning: First, we need to plan where the house will go. This means figuring out the best spot and what the house will look like.
  2. Designing: Next comes designing! An architect is a person who draws pictures to show how the house will be built. They help decide how many rooms there will be, where the doors and windows go, and what the house will look like.
  3. Getting Permits: Before building, we need to get special permission called permits from the city. This ensures that what we are doing is safe and follows the rules.
  4. Foundation: The foundation is like the house's feet! Builders dig deep into the ground and pour concrete to make a strong base for the house.
  5. Framing: After the foundation, the builders start framing. This means they build the skeleton of the house using wood to create the walls, roof, and rooms.
  6. Roofing and Siding: When the frame is up, workers put on the roof to keep out the rain and siding on the outside to protect it.
  7. Interior Work: Inside, electricians put in wires for lights and outlets, and plumbers set up pipes for water. Painters make walls pretty with paint!
  8. Finishing Touches: Finally, we add the finishing touches like cabinets in the kitchen, shelves, and flooring. Everything gets cleaned up, and the house is ready!
