The Sun is a big, bright star high in the sky. It gives us light and warmth every day. Without the Sun, we would be very cold and it would be very dark!

What Does the Sun Do?

• Gives Us Light: During the day, we can see everything around us because of the Sun's light!
• Keeps Us Warm: The Sun helps keep the Earth warm, so we can play outside in nice weather.
• Helps Plants Grow: Just like you need food to grow, plants need the Sun to grow big and strong!

How to Be Safe with the Sun

While the Sun is great, we have to be careful too! When we go outside on sunny days, we should wear a hat and use sunscreen to protect our skin.
