Hi there! Let’s talk about how bears sleep in the winter, just like a cozy nap! You know how sometimes we might feel sleepy and want to snuggle up in a blanket? Bears do something like that too!

When the weather gets really cold, and the leaves fall off the trees, bears know it's time to find a special place called a den. A den is like a bear's bedroom. It can be a cave, or sometimes it’s a hole in the ground that feels safe and warm.

Once the bear is all snuggled up in its den, it falls into a deep sleep. This sleep is called hibernation, and it helps the bear stay cozy and not feel hungry when there's not much food around in winter. Imagine sleeping really, really long, like a super really long night of sleep!

While the bear sleeps, everything outside is cold and snowy. But don’t worry! When spring comes, and it gets warmer outside, the bear will wake up from its long nap! It’ll come out of the den, see all the flowers, and look for some yummy food! Isn’t that neat?

So, remember, when you see a bear snuggled up in its den, it’s just taking a big nap until it's time for spring to come. Just like you feel cozy in your bed at night!
