The Four Seasons: What Happens in Each One?

There are four seasons in a year, and each one has its own special characteristics! Let’s explore each season step by step:

1. Winter

Winter is the coldest season. It usually starts in December and ends in February. During winter:

  • It gets very cold, and sometimes it snows!
  • Animals like bears hibernate, which means they sleep a lot.
  • People wear warm clothes like jackets, hats, and gloves.
  • We celebrate holidays like Christmas and New Year!

2. Spring

Spring comes after winter, from March to May. In spring:

  • The weather starts to get warmer, and snow begins to melt.
  • Flowers bloom, and trees get their leaves back!
  • Animals come out of hibernation. You might see baby animals!
  • People like to go outside and enjoy the sunny weather.

3. Summer

Summer follows spring and lasts from June to August. Summer is usually hot. Here’s what happens:

  • It’s very warm, and often the sun is shining bright!
  • Kids usually have no school, so they can play outside!
  • Many people go on vacation to the beach or have barbecues.
  • Fruit like strawberries and watermelon is delicious and in season!

4. Autumn

Autumn, also known as fall, comes after summer and goes from September to November. In autumn:

  • The weather starts to get cooler again.
  • Leaves change color and fall from trees – they turn yellow, orange, and red!
  • Harvest time happens, which means farmers gather crops like pumpkins!
  • Halloween is celebrated with costumes and candy!

And that’s how the four seasons work! Each season is unique and brings different changes to the world around us. Isn’t it exciting to think about all the fun things we can do in every season?
