What Are the Four Seasons?

We have four seasons in a year: winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Each season has different weather and things that happen outside!

1. Winter

In winter, it gets really cold! Sometimes it snows, which means we can play in the snow, make snowmen, and have snowball fights. We wear warm clothes like jackets, hats, and mittens.

2. Spring

After winter, spring comes. The weather starts to get warmer, and flowers begin to bloom. You might see baby animals, like baby birds and bunnies. It's a nice time to go outside and enjoy nature!

3. Summer

Summer is hot and sunny! We can go to the beach, have ice cream, and play outside all day. It’s a fun time for playing games and swimming. We wear shorts and t-shirts to stay cool!

4. Autumn

Autumn, or fall, comes after summer. The weather starts to cool down again. We see leaves changing colors, like red, orange, and yellow. The leaves fall off the trees, and we can jump in piles of them! Sometimes there is Halloween, which is a fun day for dressing up!

Why Do We Have Seasons?

The Earth moves around the Sun, and as it does, different parts of the Earth get more or less sunlight. This is why we have different seasons. Each season has its own special things to enjoy!

So, that’s what happens in each of the four seasons! Do you have a favorite season?
