How Big Can Iguanas Get?
Iguanas are really fascinating creatures! They can grow to be quite big, and here’s how:
- Size of an Iguana: Most iguanas, especially the green iguana, can grow to be about 4 to 6 feet long, including their tail!
- Weight: They can weigh anywhere from 10 to 20 pounds (that’s about the same as a small dog!).
- Baby Iguanas: When they are born, baby iguanas are only about 6 to 8 inches long. They grow bigger as they get older.
So if you see an iguana that’s really long and big, it might be a full-grown one! They can be amazing to watch because they come in beautiful colors and have unique features, like long tails and spikes along their backs.
Every iguana can be a little different, but now you know that they can be quite large! Isn’t that cool?
