What Do Our Foot Bones Do?

Our feet have special parts called bones, just like our arms and legs. Did you know that we have 26 bones in each foot? That’s a lot of bones!

Why Do We Have Foot Bones?

1. Help Us Stand: Foot bones help us stand up straight. They hold up our bodies!

2. Help Us Walk: When we walk, our foot bones help us take steps. They work together so we can move around without falling.

3. Help Us Jump: Ever jumped like a frog? Your foot bones help you jump high and land safely on the ground!

How Do Foot Bones Work Together?

Our foot bones are not all by themselves. They have friends called joints that help them bend and move. Together, they make our feet super flexible so we can run, dance, and play!

Taking Care of Our Feet:

It’s important to take care of our feet so our bones can stay strong. We can do this by wearing good shoes, walking on soft ground, and keeping our feet clean!

Fun Fact!

When you wiggle your toes, you are moving some of the bones in your feet! Isn’t that cool?

That’s why our foot bones are very important. They help us do all the fun things we love to do!
